My desire is for this to be the best experience for every child- where they can meet God and lead the country into a brighter future.
I long to see students learn who they are, understand how they learn and be reconciled to God and others.

Maria Catlett (钱旺-Qian Wang ) was born and raised in Northeast China. In 2015, she came to the United States for the first time with her American husband of one year. In prayerfully considering whether or not to allow her husband (a foreigner) to court and potentially marry her, she heard God answer her through Psalm 45:10 “Listen, O daughter, give attention and incline your ear; Forget your people and your father’s house.” She felt God tell her, “I am waiting for you in America,”
Maria and her husband, Sean, were married in 2014, arrived in the U.S. in 2015, and have two children. In 2019, while being a full time Mom – Maria completed her Masters Degree in Christian Counseling from Canada Christian University, to add to her experience and skills at serving others inside and outside the church. Maria served in various positions in two prominent Christian churches in China for 10 years from 2004-2014 – serving predominantly with Sunday School, youth fellowship, English worship service, and numerous mission teams.
After arriving in the States, she continued working with children as she began to acclimate and learn a totally new culture. She was a Montessori school assistant teacher from 2015-2016, and a full time Mom, wife, and post-grad student from 2016-2019. After receiving her Master’s diploma, by the leading of God, and as the answer to prayer for seeking God’s new leading for her life, Maria become the TLE Chinese teacher in September of 2019. She sees teaching Chinese as only a small part of her mission to broaden children’s minds and experience different cultures, and through these to give them a greater understanding and experience of God’s love.
